Vagifem update For brainless as promised
« on: January 13, 2018, 11:28:28 PM »

Hi brainless I've now been using the vagifem tablet internally for 5 days and I have to say I'm very pleased so far, they are individually pre packed loaded with the tablet so I've no phobia about a dirty applicator now and I've felt a lot more comfortable not having what felt like tons of gloop dropping out with the estriol cream when used internally I really didn't like it.I still apply the estriol cream to the outer vaginal area and that combination seems to be good for me. Normally when I go out I have to take a shed load of stuff with me as I used to get so sore just walking or sitting in restaurants but today I had a day trip where I was away for 10 hours and I was brill didn't have any kind of discomfort in undercarriage at all and didn't need any creams or gels so it gets a thumbs up from me so far.👍x

Daisydot by inserting vagifem daily only halfway up has eradicated the need for ovestin externally for me, if you're not already doing it give it a try x

So pleased you are getting relief from the awful VA, I guess you are doing a two week load?
If so, when you finish that I would use it more than the two times a week dose that is usually prescribed, if you have had it as bad as you describe ( I couldn't sit or walk either) as it probably wo t be sufficient. I use it daily and lady GP said most require five time a week.

Sorry I missed your post Daisydot. Ive been in an awful state as I recently discovered my husband of many years has been having an affair. I'm devastated and didn't want stumble across people posting about cheating. It's all too painful and raw. So I have only been looking at the home page occasionally which just has a few strands showing rather than the whole forum. Your message has just appeared on that part and I was so pleased to see it. It has given me some hope that this awful discomfort can be eased. I've been having exactly the same problems with the cream as you. Thank you so much for your update I really appreciate it and hope your relief continues

Yes  it's the two week load then he said 2 or 3 times weekly but as you rightly say I don't think that will be sufficient and I'm not takin the chance it gets bad again the pain it caused previously was so unbearable it changes your whole life style without you realising it as you tend to work around it and try to compensate for the times it's really uncomfortable by taking stuff with you or cutting short or cancelling trips.
Thank you very much for advice and I will definitely take it xx

Hi brainless I'm so sad for you what a horrible thing to do there's no bloody excuse I don't care what anyone says to justify this it's wrong on every level.
I hope you can find some way round this to help you cope and I hope you have some support in the background, sorry I have to say I've not got a forgiving nature so I'm not going down that route but you have to do what's best for you.
Your probably not even remotely interested in solving the va right now but for “YOU” no one else work on reducing your pain and increasing your comfort levels and please take care of yourself I'm so sorry xx

Thank you for your kind words Daisydot. Im in absolute despair and had been using this site to distract myself and focus on things which I can change like the va and responding to your posts on the add one word ish etc but am not strong enough to unwittingly read things like I did so am wary of randomly looking around the site now

Have you had any side effects at all from the vagifem Daisydot? Any discomfort in the area it is placed?

No nothing at all so far and I'm so sensitive to everything usually I was a bit worried about that.i do feel a lot more comfortable and it's no where near as messy as the cream.im not feeling much change since using the oestrogen gel pump I just feel quite flat not exactly down but not up either but I guess any changes will take time to happen it's all trial and error isn't it and I've just really started working on it all.for so long I never twigged what was going on I could kick myself sometimes I could have solved so much years ago instead of suffering like this,I'm one of life's “if only gang” lol.
Never mind I'll keep plodding away I hope you get some releif if you decide to try it xx

Ditto. I thought i was getting infections for years. I suppose there's no wonder it's taking longer to resolve when our lady bits have been left to deteriorate for so long because we didn't know what the problem was. I thought the menopause meant the end of pain and emotional ups and downs  and the trade off would be hot flushes 🙄 How nieve Was i! It's really good to hear you've not had side effects. You've definitely given me the courage to try it. Thanks
