Cycle of combined HRT
« on: October 18, 2017, 06:26:37 PM »

Hello - I'm new to this forum but would welcome some advice....I'm 46 and have just started on Evorel 25 patches and have been told to take utrogestan 100mg x2 at night for 12 days out of 28 day cycle. I thought that would mean I took the tablets from day 17 of the cycle thus finishing on day 18 - but on reading the info on menopause matters I noticed it should be from day 15 to 26. Could anyone advise ??

Hi Ellajane - just wanted to welcome you to the forum.

Someone will be along soon who knows about the utrogestan regime I'm sure.

Hi Ellajane

 :welcomemm:

Yes Days 15-26 where Day 1 is the first day of your last bleed. Regardless of when you bleed you stick to this pattern (assuming you normally have a 28 day cycle approx?).

Whereabouts are you in menopause re your cycle length and periods - how often are they and are they heavy, light etc?

Appreciate your reply. I used to have short cycles of about 21 days up until earlier this year  when they started to become longer and longer. Now about 42 to 47 days. Always short bleeds of about 3- 4 days - moderate for the first couple of days then light. I've started the patches on day 7 of my natural cycle ? does this affect things ?? Thanks again.
