I've had problems with memory for years, however:  2 years ago we went to Whitby, camping.  I remember the panic attack as we approached the town which needed my emergency med.  .  I remember parts of the town, the walk up to the Ruins and round, back again.  I remember visiting Robin Hood's Bay which I enjoyed.  The camp site is vague but the walk to and from the Pub close by is there, because we ate our evening meals over-looking the water.

I don't remember Staithes the next village nor visiting some Falls (name has gone  ).  Himself insists that we went to Staithes 

It's bothering me now 

My head feels fuzzy and muggy so I am going to discuss stopping the BB when I next visit my GP.  I have background headaches almost constantly.

I wouldn't worry too much.  My children often mention places we went to on holiday and I can't remember it. Just this year my husband insisted we had been to a seaside town before when we visited again this year but I had no recollection of it. I feel like all our holidays merge into one. I get confused about what year we went and where we went.

My memory is quite bad some days. Some days I wake up and can't remember what day it is, some days I can't remember what we ate for dinner the night before. Just silly things really but I've felt reassured talking to other women who have/are going through meno that experienced the same thing and it also reminds me of 'baby brain' after I had my children. Must be hormone related and of course some memory problems will come as we age and is to be expected.

Also, tiredness doesn't help the memory. If I've had a good nights sleep I feel completely with it. Last night I didn't sleep so well and today I have a fuzzy head.

I agree with Snoooze -I guess we can all remember things a bit differently.

During a recent conversation I, for instance, remember all the songs at our wedding unlike my husband, BUT he remembered the vicar's name which stunned me as I have absolutely no recollection.

My head feels fuzzy and muggy so I am going to discuss stopping the BB when I next visit my GP.  I have background headaches almost constantly. 

Sharing your fuzzy/muggy/headachy head - hopefully I'll get some answers from my trip to the Specialist. Fingers crossed I don't have to wait too long

We go camping quite a bit during the summer months and I'm useless at remembering where we've been, hubby has to mention something funny/weird that happened there to jog my memory, I think it's normal CLKD, at least I console myself thinking that

It's not much consolation - DH takes me places and I don't remember  sometimes that is due to intense anxiety and the need to get through the days in order to survive 

I found an advert that I wanted to follow up - can't remember which magazine it's in nor when I read it but I bought those magazines on Thursday of last week

Having spent many holidays in the Whitby area, and visiting both Robin Hoods Bay and Staithes frequently, I can see how you could very easily combine them into one memory, CLKD.  Both are fishing villages (although Staithes is bigger) with parking at the top of a steep hill down through the village to the harbour - without any particular event to pin your memory to one or the other, from one visit I could completely understand your not being able to pull them apart in your mind.  Don't worry about it - use it as an excuse to visit the area again!

Himself showed me photos taken in 2014 but they didn't trigger the visit either.  I do remember a lot about Robin Hood's Bay as I had been, aged 11 - and there is a shop full of ammonites half way down/up and 1 of the properties has been on an Escape to the Country/Homes by the Sea-type programme ........

CLKD - the shop full of ammonites gave you something to pin the memory of Robin Hoods Bay on, hence you remember it well.  But with nothing specific to pin Staithes on, it just blends in.  It's the way all our memories work - it's why we think all our childhood summers were hot and sunny and winters gone by were Dickensian snow scenes ... they weren't!  Most of them were pretty ordinary, just like they are now - we only remember those that were remarkable in some way (the heatwave of 76, the snow of 81/82, etc). 

Try not to worry about it - what you are describing sounds normal to me (if it isn't, my memory is broken too, and has been all my life!).

My Summers were hot ........ I remember chasing butterflies with a net or sitting in a tin bath of cool water with a hat on

So memory loss continues.  I was trying to think of an F1 racer's name earlier - it took 5 hours

My memory loss, concentration & brain fog has greatly improved on HRT but still have 'off days' although few and far between now, thankfully. x

I remember the panic attack as we approached the town which needed my emergency med.

  Your emergency med may have affected your memory for a few hours after you took it.  The nature of the other lapses you mention sounds pretty much like mine most days!  I often wonder whether there's a gender difference as OH has almost a photographic memory which makes my useless one all the more of a contrast & it's been that way throughout our 30+ years together.  A nurse friend says her husband's the same & her memory is about as bad as mine.  I also agree with the others that anxiety can prevent us taking in what's going on so we later have little memory of situations we find a challenge in that respect.

When out and about my OH often says to me, we've been here before, do you remember?
Nope! He says you do, we saw ....ect.....don't you remember that? ....Er, no!...this happens quite regularly....🤷‍♀️
Now stick a film on, and I'll tell him in less than 2 minutes if we've watched it before, whereas, he has no recollection half the time....🤦‍♀️
