Endometrial lining

Hi ladies, to say that I am nervous is an understatement.  I was wondering if any of you went through what I'm going through and it turned out to be fine.   So this is what is happening with me. I'm 49, and since July I have been bleeding continuously, 90% of the time  it's only spotting or when wiping  the rest  of the time it's more red with clots but not heavy.  Haven't had a normal period since June 2017.  A few days ago I was sent for an ultrasound and the doctor that did the ultrasound said that my lining is  18 mm and that I should get a biopsy.  The report  also says the  I have micro cysts on my endometrium, anyone knows what these are?  I'm seeing my Gyno in a few days .  Have any of you experienced  anything similar if so what was the conclusion.  So anxious.

A very dear friend of mine had a very similar situation.  She had endometrial hyperplasia. She had a biopsy which determined that.  She then had an ablation and is fine now.  She is about a year into menopause and this started after a stint of 6 months with no period.  She got a flooding period that just would not stop.  Hers was even more than spotting.  Just non-stop bleeding for weeks on end.  You may have a hyperplasia that could be treated with either a D&C, ablation or even extended use of Progesterone....I'm not sure.   Your doctor will advise but try not to worry.  You are on top of it and I'm sure it will all be okay.  xxxxx
