HRT Patches
« on: October 01, 2017, 03:30:34 PM »

Hi ladies, I've just come off Evorel Conti Patches having been on them since April. Most of the time it was only half a patch. Since coming off them I'm having flushes and nightsweats again and just feeling generally under the weather with achey bones/joints and headache. I was wondering if anyone else has had this experience? 😬

Yeah if you stop hrt chances are symptoms will come back.  It just depends if you are ok with the symptoms or if you want to go back on hrt ?

Yes- as Annie0710 says, stop them and symptoms can return. Just wondering why you would want to stop if half a patch was working so well.

Hi Salad, I stopped the patches because they were making me feel really anxious. I was waking in the night feeling wired and having to visit the loo due to nervous bowel. 😬

If you're not managing with your symptoms maybe you could try oestrogen gel and progesterone pessaries ? The gel is easier to change the dose.  I got that wired, heart racing feeling whenever the patch strength was too high x

I would definitely look at another option if your not wanting the symptoms coming back. Is it only the patch you have been on xx

Down to a quarter of a patch and woke up at 3am this morning feeling really anxious and rushing to the toilet - quite a few times. It was like all the nerve endings in my buttocks were on red alert?!? I've had this a few times since starting HRT Evorel Conti patches and it's the reason I am coming off. But...with just a quarter of a patch?  What's that all about? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Feeling fragile today.
Now thinking maybe it wasn't the HRT causing the anxiety. Maybe it was me being anxious about using it because I  thought at 63 years maybe I'm a bit old to start HRT for the first time and all the other stories I've read and heard from people who didn't get along with it. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Oh Carol don't be anxious about trying hrt.  Just start low and build up to what makes you feel better x
