Hi I tried to search and not much info but this is one of two next on my list.
I'd give it a bit longer, are they symptoms you had before and nothing changed yet? Xx

Hi Karen
I think there is a member on here taking Angelique as I remember googling it as had never heard of it.

Maybe put Angeliq in the title of your subject to attract more ladies who can help.

Actually I think it maybe Warwick01 who takes it, do a search as I'm sure she's had good results on it.

Hi Lil22,
I've been looking up as much info as I can on angeliq (not a lot out there) but after taking another pill this morning I'm feeling dreadful so I don't think I will continue to take it... I'm just giving up on HRT as this has been going on post meno over 3yrs and I've lost count of the years peri meno so I think me and HRT just get along...I hope you can find one the suits you ..

I've been on Angeliq for 2 months now. The first 10 days were pretty bad on my stomach made it very "acid" it settled but about 2 weeks later started having diarrhoea every morning for about 2 weeks that settled as well and my stomach seems to be ok just now touch wood! Don't know how it's going to affect my low moods as they seem to come in 3 month cycles so I'm due a dip any time soon, but so far just have the odd bad day.
This is the 3rd hrt I've been on so I'm going to keep taking it for another month and see how I feel, if the low moods come back I'm going to try and get to a menopause clinic as I think the doctors fed up with me chopping and changing hrt  ::)
I've no flushes, they stopped on the 1st hrt I took, Ellest duet conti ,but it was about 3 weeks before they stopped.
Ive actually had a few cramps like period pains today but they're not to bad and seem to come and go.
I'd carry on taking Angeliq for a few more weeks yet if I were you, I was all for giving up after a week but things seem to have settled and I want to give this one a really good go before I try something else.

Hi Karen
You're welcome  :)
Think the problem with me was I gave up too quickly on previous hrt, blaming my low moods and anxiety on it when i think it was my own hormones causing it, I don't know if hrt can really help with the low moods but it certainly stopped the flushes. I'm definitely going to carry on taking Angeliq as I think my skins looking a bit better not so dry as it usually is  so that's a bonus :)
The doctor did say to give it at least 3 months as it can take time for our bodies to adjust to it.
I'd love to stop hrt altogether but the flushes and palpitations I had before were awful and I don't want to go through that again.
Hope your stomach settles soon,as I said I was ready for chucking it in the bin after a week but persevered and so far so good.
Also I didn't take a break as such from previous hrts just kind of weaned myself of them by taking half a tablet for a few weeks then straight onto the next one, the doctor said it was ok just to start another one without a break.
I'll update when I've been on it for 3 months here's hoping it works for us  :)

Hi Marie,
I also I've noticed change in my skin definitely isn't as dry so HRT is helping with that ,as I said I will stick with it for a while longer and hopefully I will help me some.. I also suffer from acid in tummy which I think angeliq is playing havo with... joys of this meno rollercoaster is a nightmare isn't it ? Keep me up to date on how you are getting on and I will keep you posted how I'm finding my way with Angeliq....Thanks again for your help means a lot and defo gives me some hope

I've taken yasmin, which is the sae progestegen with no problems.  I do find I get diarrhoea if my estrogen is too low.

I found it took 5 weeks for HRT (Evorel Sequi) to change my mood for the better but it really seems to have improved
PMT has returned but at least I know its PMT and can work with it
before it felt like low grade (or even high grade PMT) most days  for quite a few years

I hope your mood improves as it can be such a relief

Think most of us who suffer with low mood anixty etc find it really rough to get it under control.. I've given up with the HRT as from yesterday couldn't cope with the headaches, period like cramps, dizziness, sore boobs and it was bringing the hot flushes on more... I just think my body don't like HRT and my gp wasn't keen to give me the patch ?? He didn't give a reason just a NO...when it's been going on for years you just get so feed up with it all !!!

Hi Karen
Sorry to hear you gave up on Angeliq,I can sympathise as the first few weeks on it were pretty bad for me stomach wise but everything seems to have settled now 2 months in,don't want to speak to soon though as it's usually about 3 months after taking a new hrt that I get really bad with depression and anxiety which can last for about 3 weeks, but for now I'm feeling pretty much ok.
Don't know why the doctor is refusing to let you try a patch as I'm sure patches are a lot easier on the stomach. Maybe try and see another doctor or a menopause clinic if there's one near you. I was initially refused hrt because my blood pressure was slightly high but just seen another doctor in the practice and got it no problem, my blood pressure seems fine now anyway, think the first doctor was being over cautious.
I hope you find something to help as all these horrible symptoms really affect your quality of life.
Best of luck and keep us updated :)

Karen,

I think it can take a few to find the right one. I tried the gel and had all the side effects and the hot flushes seem to get worse. I'm now taking Premarin. All the mojo symptoms have gone with it, but my skin isn't great on it. My try going back and having another word, or trying another GP. Have you tried anything transdermal?  I haven't tried patches as the gel didn't agree with me I wondered if it was the delivery. We're all so different
