In agony and just cant stop crying
« on: September 03, 2017, 07:30:48 PM »

Hi All,
I'm really struggling today and yesterday. Im on qlaira birth control a month and a half now and I really dont feel any better than I did before going on it and judging by today I think I might be getting worse. I wole up with severe back pain and low mood-ive been so tearful all day. I had to take 3 different typesof pain killers for my lowerback pain as I was in pure agony!! Its only subsided in last hour. Im just so emotional. Im exhausted from this all. I just dont understand what to do next. I dont know whether to keep going with this pill or try something else.
I dont know where I am at with all this. Last hormone test in february showed low progesterone but a few months ago I developed all the symptoms oflow estrogen-vaginal dryness, dry nosw, dry throat, itchy skin, hot sweats, cold sweats, tiredness, dizziness........
I just want mylife back. I dont what to do for the best.my doctors are useless. They think im too young for this. Im so worn out by all this.

How old are you?  It is NEVER too young for menopause to begin. Some girls have 1 or 2 periods then go into very early menopause.  Maybe have a read of the Daisy web-site, I think it's mentioned here - ask questions ?

Hi all, thanks for messages. I didnt take my pill last night and feel a bit better this morning. Back pain isn't as bad but little neck pain now. I thinm that particular pill didnt suit. I'm unsure whar to do now. I'll go back to gp for suggestions. Had terrible cramps during the night and this morning.
Thanks for the support.it means a lot to me. :)

Hello, I was in awe while I as reading your posts. I am exactly in the same unbearable condition since last May. I am only 31 years old and nobody believes how much I am suffering. I have seen all kind of doctors and no help. They keep saying that I am too young and it is stress. Ι am going to cite a list of my physical and emotional symptoms  which are the same as yours

extreme fatigue, loss of energy, unbearable pain like flu on my legs, constant fatigue and cramps
intense bone pain especially when the weather is humid, joints make cracking sounds ( knees, ankles ...), joint stiffness
reflux ( I ran all the approriate tests and I was officially diagnosed with weakly acid reflux and bile reflux- bile gastritis  so not acidic reflux in my case)
allergies in spring and fall
IBS ( soft bowel movements, gas, bloating)
episodes of hypoglucemia especially after eating
ovulation pain and crying on the day of ovulation, very emotional over nothing
PMDD
itching especially the last day of my period ( I have 2 days normal flow and on day 3 and 4 only spotting)
hot flashes all over my body along with chills
sensitivity to light and sound
panic attacks/irritability/anxiety, mood swings, outbursts and after crying and apologizing, abnormal behavior
insomnia, vivid dreams, no deep sleep

The last week, my endocrinologist told me that I may have intestenial cystitis according to the results of my urinalysis. Pyosferia and hemoglobin was found but no microbe been detected on my urine test, consqently it is due to my hormones fluctuation.

She suggested that I should start a multivitamin and if no improvement then an antidepressant but I am no optimistic at all about the effectiveness of both. I know that the root cause is a weird for my young age hormonal imbalance,  unfortunately very early perimenopause and I have read that it can last up to ten years. :'(

I am searching everywhere for a miracle cure. Sth to help me to live like normal person again
I have no quality of life, I cannot go for work, I am not feel normal, I am tired of feeing sick all the time, this is not life. It is a nightmare. I am too young for this. I am also more than desperate.

Have you ever been tested for your female hormones? Have you seen any improvement with the pill?

My thyroid hormones always between the normal ranges, I only found by coincidence that I have a thyroid nodule ( beging for the moment). Actually, I was constantly  complaining that I feel a lump sensation on my throat and the doctor ordered a thyroid ultrasound. Probably this is a symptom of my reflux which comes and goes.

p.s sorry for any language mistakes but english is not my mother tongue

Hi Maria,
I am sure you want an answer to your problems but as an anxiety sufferer and having health anxiety long before peri menopause, your symptoms do sound like anxiety. The brain is very powerful. It can make you experience pain and symptoms when you don't have a health issue. Lump in the throat is a classic anxiety symptom.

Some of your symptoms could also be related to fibromyalgia or ME.

Why not try the anti depressants to see if they make any difference?

hello thank u for your answer...Unfortunately it is not that simple...I forgot to mention that my symptoms deteriotated since last May when I had an ovarian cyst surgery. I had a luteal rupture cyst all of a sudden...

The truth is that I have started to notice some of my symptoms since 2012...

Another less important symptom is that many skin moles are growing all over my body ( brown moles or sth like red spot- cherry angiomas) and wild hair like thorns on my inner thighs.

It is not psychological...I wish it were...

I firmly believe that sth hormonal rare for my age is happening on my body.... :'( :'( :'(

Hi Maria, I am sorry I didnt respond sooner. I have had all the symptoms you mentioned even down to a cyst above my thyroid. I must say that all my symptoms started over 2 years ago when I stopped taking birth control. I never knew perimenopause existes but I believe I have started it. I say this too because I have a sister who has had some symptoms such as flooding periods, tingling face, sore lower back and hip pain and she is just over 1 and a half years oldee than me.  A few friends and colleagues of mine who arwin and around my age and a little older have also mentioned lump in throat, acid reflux, and lowerback pains. Maybe I am just taking too much notice due to my own symptoms but its veey worrying these symptoms. I know mine all started at critical stages in my cycle. Even now I get most of my pain during ovulation and my period.  I have extreme pelvic pressure too mid cycle. It really is a struggle to get up every day.
Most recently I was told that I have chronic fatigue syndrome- my sister laughed and said she had that herself!!!
I wish I had answers for you and for myself. I stopped taking that birth control but I think I will try another one when my next period comes. I also get the extdeme breast pain from ovulation onwards.
It truly is a very difficult time. I hope youfind answers soon. Xxx

I started at 25 with no explanation so it's possible.  I also have ME (CFS) and a lot of the symptoms are similar plus depression.
Can you ask for a FSH hormone level test as this is what I had and you can see where your at it all xxx

Oops, more meno brain as just realised you signed off your first post as Maria!

Which country are you in? Do you have meno specialists like we have in the UK? Would you be able to go and see one to try and get a definite diagnosis of menopause?
