I absolutely loathe my hair/body hair since meno - got the full works going on.

It's a full time job keeping all of it under control - hairy toes, ugh, hairy ankles, ugh (ankles also morphing into "cankles" now, thickening up), shockingly my OH made a joke about my hairy ankles which sent me reeling - nip hairs that often are ingrowing, black hairs on chin (often they suddenly grow overnight) and some on upper lip BUT conversely - thanks so much for this Mother Nature - sparse patchy pubic hair that annoyingly now grows down the bikini line much further, sparse eyebrows and lashes, hair loss on top of head and at sides.  Have had thyroid checked, results "normal". hmmm.

All this must be down to hormone imbalance and circulating DHT, don't get it though as my T levels are practically zero.

Gradually bit by bit, the places where you don't want hair, it appears - and vice versa.

Maybe would have expected some of this in late 60s, but not at 50.

Will never get over the shock of what Mother Nature can do - added to the long list of meno symptoms, the total hair change really p's me off.  None of this cr'p gets better with time.

I've bought a 15 x magnifying mirror to use when plucking chin, lip.  Quite scary looking in it though!

My husband is really annoyed at the nose and ear hair which has decided to sprout over the last couple of years. He was fine till around 55 and then, suddenly, he has ear hair!!

At 46 I joined the chin club, and upper lip club.  Tweezers at the ready.

I think you're more likely to snip your nipples off trying to find the hair with the scissors!   :-\

Yikes!! Just putting on mascara and noticed that an eyelash had dropped onto my chin - BUT when i tried to brush it away, I realised it was growing from my chin.  Holy smoke, my first chin hair.  I don't know how any of you can pluck it out, really painful. Had to shave it off. >:(  Laser here I go!!

Oh laser is much more painful than tweezing, once you've done it that area gets used to being pulled and tugged or as DH tells me "you are excavating again"  ;)

Sadly the new sets of tweezers don't pull properly so I'm left with a sore area  :-\ which is becoming noticeable so will need to buy yet more tweezers .......... I saw some for £29.00 recently  :o

I had some tweezers with sloping ends, which were very good. I have my facial hair waxed regularly, so they come out easily now if I have to "excavate" the odd one!
I lost my tweezers on holiday, and, sadly could only find new ones with straight ends which are not so good.

This is such a great thread  :)

I got my first chin hair at 30 (which was speedily plucked out) but it would only re-appear every few months. But my 40s have been a nightmare - masses of dark, stiff hairs sprouting up so regularly that plucking has become almost a daily chore. I do get a bizarre sense of satisfaction when I manage to grab 'em all though  ;D

I've tried hair removal creams but find that I have a hair-free chin only for a couple of days before the little blighters start coming up again. My magnifying mirror and tweezers are definitely my friends  :)
