Worse after using Utro vaginally?
« on: August 26, 2017, 05:25:13 PM »

Hi Everyone
I started using Utro vaginally 6 days ago. My backache is somewhat better (still sore though) but i would say that my low, flat feelings and very sore boobs are a little worse. Oestrogen dominance perhaps? I have started evening primrose oil today, and reduced Oestrogel to one pump instead of two. I had split the 2 pump dose 12 hours apart for the last 3 days, but that didn't change anything. I am meant to use these two bhrt for 3 months and re-assess, but i am struggling to tolerate these feelings, and the soreness.
I am starting to think that i'd rather go back to having the flushes and broken sleep - they are still waking me up anyway, perhaps not as often, and not as strong as before. But still...i wasn't sore, and i didn't feel so crap  :(
Anyone else seem to get worse, in some aspects, after inserting Utro? Anyone have to stop bhrt completely because of side-effect issues?

It could be that your body is needing 3 pumps oestrogel? There's only one way to find out and it might be the answer to your symptoms

Thanks Annie - before i try, wouldn't that make my boobs & 'depression' even worse though?  :-\
They are so sore, i have bought a night bra and still get woken up every time i change sleeping position. And every morning, i just want to stay in bed and do nothing, see no-one...thankfully, i have pets to care for, a job to do, tennis matches to play  :)

It could make boobs sore but you'll only know if you try increase/decrease the dose

It could also be that you would feel better maybe by patch ? It's so difficult to get it right, I've never had the sore boobs in meno but testosterone seems to be my missing link and my low mood has definitely improved since being on it

They are already very sore,so i'm not sure i would notice any difference....unless they improve. Hopefully the EPO will help - it used to when i took it years ago, post-pregnancy.

I have considered asking GP for some testosterone but the only bhrt version is a subcutaneous pellet nowadays isn't it? If we don't get on with it, i would have thought it's a bit late to change our mind  :-\

It's really helped the social anxiety that was affecting my day-to-day life.  This all started about a year into peri.  I'm not the life and soul of the party but I'm not a nervous wreck at the thought of being out and about now

It's helped my hair, my libido and my wellbeing

I would like to be rid of hot flushes, mainly so i can sleep without waking up again, but that isn't looking very likely after 2 months of oestrodose/utro.

I'd also like to have the physical strength and feel-good, er, feelings that i used to have when playing tennis. That had dipped a lot, but has deserted me completely since being on bhrt. I think i'll talk to GP about testosterone gel. What's it called in the UK? Tostran? :)

I was worse using utro vaginally than orally. I blamed utro on a lot of problems that turned out to be the gel. I e just changed the gel. I'm still taking utro, but may try a synthetic
I seem to do better with them

Premarin. For me the gel had every side effect it could. I'm not sure if it was the dermal transmission. It's great, no problems apart from a burning face, but not sure yet if it's connected.  Somehow for me e seems to cause heat, flushes, night sweats and p seems to cool my body. Very odd that it's the opposite way around. I added u to the Premarin last night and am groggy this morning. It's not like that on its own. I'm wondering if it just doesn't play well with added estrogen in some people.  What do you think?
