Actually I didn't, which was surprising, he's been in a really good mood He wasn't going to pick them but I asserted my authority & made him, I couldn't wait until he went back to school!!

My mum has finally agreed to use a walking stick to help stop her over balancing, after saying for weeks "I don't want to look old'"
... She's 85

Not old then  - we had the same a few months ago: mine decided that she wanted a trolley with a seat.  So off we went to a very good mobility store, choose a design which they ordered: collected 5 weeks later - Mum pushed it up the garden, lifted it into and out of the garage; back into the garage, parked it with the words "Don't know why I bought that, I'll use it when I'm older"  - 91 soon

 Ah your mum's are great - not old yet, my grandmother is 95 and a few years had to give in & use a walking stick! Bless them all

Back to earth with a bump   well rested - well fed - Belfast welcomed me home with grey skies and miserable rain   fire blazing - extra blanket on the bed and sox! Ah it's good to be home
