We are moving to a new town about 10 miles away and I assumed I had to move surgery
Lady I work with used to be a receptionist at my current surgery and she said you don't have to move surgeries anymore, has anyone else heard of this? I'd rather the devil I know as I'm liking my hrt regime and not sure how a new surgery would feel about prescribing testosterone

Of the receptionist told you that you don't need to leave I'd have thought that would be the case .

Thing is this lady is a know-it-all who rarely knows much about anything, cocky level of confidence more like !!!

But yes the only sense of it is that we don't have gps calling at our home anymore.  I'd need to drive to the new surgery anyhow so driving back to my current town is no biggie

So she was right but wrong in that she said the the rule came out in 2009 and at that time I moved 20 miles from my job and stayed at the surgery near my work.  When they realised I'd moved they said I had to move surgerys

10 miles used 2 B the mileage that GPs would cover, otherwise patients had to register with a new Surgery.

My GP told me that its up to individual go surgeries if they keep you or not ?

I've behaved so hopefully they'll keep me and my dentist is in the same building.  I'm this neck of the woods 4 days and week and would be at new town 3 days a week
