Hi Sunnydays
I think almost certainly it does and I'm sure I read info on this somewhere - but can't remember where. I know it definitely did with (the now discontinued) testosterone patches - in this case absorption was greater on the front lower abdomen than on buttocks.
However I just looked at the product monograph for Estradot and it recommended putting the patches on the same area of the body (not the same site exactly) which implies that absorption is variable. Also on areas of skin that are not wrinkly! So in other words - generally stick to the same place whether this be buttocks, or abdomen. There may well be some difference but I doubt this would be significant over your holidays unless you are very sensitive to changes (some women are!)? I have only ever put mine on my butt cheeks as out of the way of knicker line etc (and abdomen too wrinkly with baby skin) so less likely to be rubbed off with normal movement.
Both oestrogen and progestogens have an effect on the breast but the changes due to oestrogen usually settle if the dose is consistent. Many women find that on sequential HRT boobs become sensitive during the prog part of the cycle, just as back in the days of periods and pms. Hope yours settle down to become less tender.
More to the point - HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY and forget about menopause!!

Where are you going (we have a holiday thread!)?
