Quarter Evorel Patch
« on: July 25, 2017, 10:54:54 AM »

Hi everyone

I'm doing well on quarter Evorel patch so will continue on that I think.  All symptoms are much better.  Hot lushes have cut from 3 times in 24 hours to 1 every couple of days.  I'm sleeping better too.

I've gained a couple of pounds but not sure if that is down to the quarter patch or whether it is because I am feeling better so perhaps eating a bit more.  So difficult to know what is causing it.

Does anyone else have any experience of weight gain while on patches?

Thanks so much for any replies.  :) :)

I think some weight gain is down to fluid retention and not just down to just patches but HRT in general, as I've used gel and patches.
Glad you're feeling a bit better though  :)

Thanks so much for replying.  I really appreciate it.

I've worked so hard to lose weight over the past couple of years so keeping an eye on the scales as I would hate to put it all back on.  So hard to balance out feeling good and weight gain.

That's exactly it- for me the feeling better has to win  :)

When I started HRT I literally put on about 8lbs in 3 days but think it was all my dried out cells puffing back up with fluid  ;D

Equally I lost 5lb last week when my hormone level was too low- unfortunately straight back on now.

The hardest thing for me is the seemingly insatiable appetite but I've just read about 'skinny sprinkles' that help you feel fuller so I might give them a go.

That's how I am feeling.  Hot flushes have almost gone now and my sleep is better but like you say I am hungrier.  I think I'll try padding out my meals with salad and veggies.

Are you on a full patch?

Glad HRT is working for you and making you feel better.

HRT has literally given me back a 'normal' life without it I'm a wreck  ;D

At the moment I use a full 100 Estradot patch. In the past I've used Estraderm, Evorel and Femseven and I've cut those to adjust my dose. For a long time I cut a slither off a 75 patch but had to increase about 6 months ago.

Good luck with your salad and veggies  :)

Good luck with your skinny sprinkles too.   ;D   I'm gonna look into them too.

I'm on Evorel 75 and I've had no weight gain at all.

Hiya,

Thanks so much for replying.  I really appreciate it.

That's good news that you haven't had any weight gain.  I've stocked up with lots of veggies and low cal stuff just in case I get the munchies.

Take care.
