Stellajane- a teeny weeny pinch of salt in real coffee removes the bitterness.
As does a pinch of sugar or few drops of honey in a tomato based sauce that is too acidic. It brings out the flavour.
Mind you, I've had some strange looks when eating out! Especially when trying to crumble a rock hard sugar cube in my tomato soup. >:(

My Final Meal would be:

roast beef
Yorkshire puds with gravey
Fresh peas in the pods - un-cooked
Mash and roasties

followed by steam pudding with golden syrup

However: today I have struggled  :'( - after a good breakfast of muesli with sliced strawberries and cherries, bl/T with 2.  A small banana mid morning then it went pear shaped.  I have tried to graze on mixed fruits and nuts Himself has made me pancakes which are sustaining - 1 with lemon juice and ginger pieces the other with sugar and lemon juice.

Bugga  :'(

Oh the extra fruit reacted this morning  :( - several loo trips required.  I've snacked on bits and pieces since my pancakes and at last feeling more human.

Maybe build up to it CLKD if your system isn't accustomed to a lot of fruit and veg.

As you would say. Baby.   Well mouthfuls  ;D

I could never eat banana, cherries and strawberries in one day without spending the next day close to the loo.

I notice that Emma has moved my post without my asking - did anyone object to it being in the personal area?  It is personal to me and I don't want out-siders to read it.  I will ask for it to be removed.  Thanks for all your input.

The area that you posted it in was "All things Menopause" which will be seen by "out-siders" to read CLKD as it always has been.

It is the private section that is only accessible to members.

And P.S. I certainly did not object to it. I enjoyed reading it.

Not much Taz  ;D - you'll have to read through from the start of the thread.

CLKD is eating a lot of fruit & cutting down on sugar & she is reporting on her findings.
