I have vivid dreams and nightmares quite often, think it is when oestregen levels are low (I'm in perimenopause and don't use HRT so hormone levels are all over the place). If you search the forum for 'dreams' you'll see it is quite common.

I have loads of vivid dreams nowadays. I don't let them bother me too much, unless something from my distant past springs into them. Then I start wondering why.

I try not to think about them the next day its just that when I wake at night with them my heart is pounding so fast I think I am going to have a heart attack awful!

I remember a lot of mine  ::) - occasionally I wake suddenly which I think is the problem for me.   Leaves me queasy.

I found I had nightmares in the run up to my period most of last year. Generally I can't remember my dreams but for a while for two to three days before my period starting I was waking in terror.
