Have you lost your appetite?
« on: May 14, 2017, 06:43:21 PM »

Hello ladies,

I haven't felt hungry or thirsty since late 2016. There's nothing wrong with me apart from meno. Please see my profile below for timeline and tests.

Has anyone had this?
Did it ever come back?
Did anything other than HRT help? (I know one lady whose came back, but any other advice v welcome)

Thank you xxx

Hi edelweiss -  mine has diminished too and I've also lost all interest in cooking  (not that I was Mary Berry!!) My mood is lower though so I was putting it down to that. I just nibble all day but a full meal overfaces me xx

Hi Jo, sorry to hear that. Yours will come back when you get on that HRT once your consultant and GP connect properly!

I used to love cooking too. Now I keep messing it up because I can't taste things properly. Can't even tell if something's gone off.

Thanks for replying.
Loads of love xxx

I'm calling them at some point tomorrow to see if they've managed to get it together! Can't imagine losing taste to that extent - it must be difficult. Im very tired and anxious today and that knocks my appetite too. Managed to pull my back a bit painting fences which is not good 😡😡 much love xxx

Good luck with the docs - I guess they can't/won't just give it to you anyway?! They know the consultant's letter is on it's way (can't the get email copy?) there are probably lots of reasons why not and I should stop suggesting such obvious solutions!!!

I know the system can work in mysterious ways but hope it's soon sorted for you, and you are back to good health in no time. Much love xxx

My taste has gone weird over the last year, I would rather nibble then eat healthy meals I use to make. Not really sure why never thought it could be to do with menopause I thought may be antideprents I'm on. It's hard to figure it all out. Xxx

my tastes have changed.  I prefer savoury to sweet nowadays.  I did lose my appetite when my hormones were fluctuating and I ate smaller portions and didn't feel particularly hungry.  I dropped 2 kg 3 years ago but my appetite has improved now and my weight has stabilised at the lower level.  I still don't crave carbs like I did and don't get as hungry as often which is not a bad thing really.  I am still 2kg down which is good for me  :)

Go Jo!
The consultant would usually send you a cc too, so I'm guessing you didn't receive?
Hope you get what you need soon xxx

She's just called. No I received no letter either! Apparently Femiston 1/10 has been prescribed but tablets as patches not available. I hate swallowing tablets so hoping I can crush them into yoghurt or smoothie as I usually do 😂😂😂
