Any one seen the new pound coin yet?
Apparently not many machines are ready for them so hang onto your regular pounds, hopefully the Banks won't pull them from use B4 machines, trollies etc. are updated!

Yes, my son got one in his change yesterday. It is dated '2016' ?!
He checked it online and it is an error. The first one found has been sold for over £2000.
However, because there is so many of the miss dated ones, the going rate has gone down to £35.

I asked for one in the bank yesterday as my son wants one but they said they haven't got any or had any in yet!

Hang on to it for a while. Some may well sell at the 'going rate' which will make them eventually, rarer.

I've got one that's dated 2016. I thought it was just because they starting minting them last year to make sure they had enough for launch! I'll definitely be hanging on to it now!
Edit - just been and Googled this, and I was right! They minted about half a billion of the new coins in 2016, so they're not rare at all!

Yes, I think you are right Scampi. It looks like ebay speculators, trying to cash in.
Will have to break it to my son now.

I got my first one yesterday and it is also dated 2016. The machines at my workplace have already been set to take the new coins but I don't know whether anyone has tested this yet.

Seen quite a few in work but haven't had one myself yet.
