Start 1mg I'd say then if after a few days no improvement go to 2mg x

Ditto Ditto - the 1mg is quite tiny really (if you can survive on that, all good but it is a wee dose).  Try the 2mg and see what happens. Good luck, keep us all posted

Hi Anjia - I'm in exactly the same boat as you. I've tried countless versions of patches and gels and don't seem to absorb them. Tempest is the same.  I'm now on 3mg tab and it seems to be absorbing. If you were on 75 patch, I'd use 2mg tab - that's roughly equivalent. 1mg is very low, it's what I started on way back. Good luck. Hope it works.

If it's elleste solo 2mg is max dose so that's why I suggested 1mg to start, there's every chance symptoms will resume on 1mg but then add the extra 1mg x

Anji - don't read the side effects - the leaflets on everything are always a horror story.  Tibolone can be great, so give it a try.  It worked very well for on many levels.
If you are worried, why not take a break from everything and see how it goes, then, when you get back from holiday you can start fresh.  DG x

I understand if you're going on holiday you don't want unnecessary possible side effects but honestly I can assure you I've had hardly any side effects from starting Tibolone New Year's Eve.  I had no transition problems from patch to Tibolone and had burst ear drums within 3 days of starting so have felt dreadful at times from that but not had the problems the poor other ladies have said on here

I do think picking your time to start is a good decision though, and most of the ladies on here say by week 8 they are getting the full benefits of it

Anjia - how are you doing on tabs? I've had a recent low reading on gel so considering tabs again.

Anjia, I say give it a go when you get back! Please don't be put off by my posts, I have a lot of other issues going on too. It may well suit you very well - it seems to take a good while to settle for some of us and particularly ladies with no ovaries, but it may very well turn out to be your very best option. xxxx

No one can tell how sensitive you will be if you don't take hrt on holiday.  One woman would crash within a day whereas I accidently forgot to pack my elleste solo pills a few years for 11 days and I didn't notice a difference.  I should've tried without hrt as a trial when I got home but stupidly started taking it again

Why don't you take some with you just in case you feel you need them ? X

Thank you, Anjia.  :)

I would probably stick with it just for now until you return to be on the safe side. I know it's horrible when an HRT doesn't suit you and makes you feel horrible - god knows I've been there! As Annie says, it's unpredictable as to how your body would cope if you stopped suddenly, so much better to err on the side of caution.

Tell you what - make a plan in your mind that this is just temporary and when you come back, you're going to join us over at the 'Tibolone Tribe' where you will get loads of support to help. And the surgical menopause thread too - have you spotted that? I started one just for us. :) If you read Suzanne1967's posts you will see that yes, she's had a rough time but it's been totally worth it for her in the end, as well as Sooze and Blakeygray. As I say - don't be put off by me as I went a LONG time without any HRT following my surgery and my body is playing up a LOT with adjusting to anything, and I have the CPTSD in the mix too so I'm not typical! Warwick also has thyroid issues in the mix too so it's probably taking her a bit of adjusting too. I'm confident with daily support you will adjust well to it - lots of ladies in surgical menopause do well on Tibolone!

Sending you biggest hugs, and remember - you have us when you return! xxxxx
