Hi Debbiemc - Happy New Year to you too!
Sorry your post got missed - still Christmas time, Bank Holidays and all that

When you say Elleste combi - I presume you mean Elleste Duet 1 mg which gives a withdrawal bleed normally?
I posted yesterday on other threads about lack of periods on HRT - it says on this site that 85% of women get a withdrawal bleed on cyclical HRT such as you are using - which means that 15 % don't! Although I used a different type of HRT my periods also stopped when I was on cyclical HRT after several years of using it - but by that time I was post-menopausal. This means that the amount of oestrogen did not build up sufficiently during the 17 days or so I was using it, and the 11 days I was using progesterone as well was more than enough to keep my lining thin. This is presumably the same for you.
Re the unpleasant feelings - what point in the cycle did you experience these feelings? Most women get some sort of pms for a couple of days or so after stopping the combi tablets, until the progestogen has left the system so it could be this? Alternatively some women find they experience pms-like side effects from some of the progestogens used in combi HRT - like the one in yours which is norethisterone. However if you've been OK with it so far it sounds like you tolerate it well?
Also if you are still peri-menopausal (you were getting occasional periods) then your own cycle may kick in at some point and you may be experiencing your own hormonal surges in addition to the HRT - this won't stabilise completely until you are post-menopause ie the occasional cycle playing havoc with your moods.
Hopefully you feel better most of the time on the HRT than off it - but if the feelings persist and especially if they occur mainly during the second part of the cycle - then perhaps time to reconsider - and try a different type?
