Forgot to say I got my bloods taken last week to check levels but still waiting on results, I will post when I get them. What I found interesting was they took my bloods before I started and my levels had dropped since gp took them. My T levels were 1.7 in April and in August they were down to 1, so will be interesting to see what they are now xxx

And then just not do a full pump to get the required amount of a kernel ? X

Oh dear - - that's not so good as it is twice the concentration of testim or testogel. As such I would say it is less suitable for women to use as more less easy to get a consistent dose and more likely to vary as one tries to gauge a "blob". If I were given this personally I would refuse it as being unsuitable. Unfortunately I don't think docs can specify brand but they could specify concentration so if they specified 1% you should get testim or testogel. Tostran is 2 %. Probably nothing you can do about it now but for anyone else I would watch this especially those who are only using a tiny amount as I am. If you have only ever used this I'm sure it's fine and some women use more than a tiny blob!

This is such a tricky area and all the more reason why a product needs to be developed for women!

I think he was still stunned at tea time, so much so he went out and brought home a lovely mixture of a Chinese takeaway!

The Chinese was gorgeous Tempest! I have to have no added MSG and this particular takeaway are brilliant at understanding

Well it's day 3 on Tostran and I'm feeling ok but scared now to use it.  Keepgoing said she uses a sweetcorn kernel worth which isn't a whole pump and I think men are using 7-8 full pumps each day (from what I've read)
I'll have to pump out 1 whole pump and see how much is in it

I guess it's back to Testim then 🙄

So sorry I didn't mean to alarm you - only sounding a note of caution to those only using a tiny bit! I know some women use up a tube in 10 days so it would be easier perhaps to regulate the blob size in this case (and use half a blob instead!)! Also some gynaes prescribe quite large amounts - but I think this would be for women who have high levels of oestrogen. Also as I know I keep on saying - that the gynae who prescribed it to me did say to start with a petit-pois sized blob (of testogel) and that it could take 4-5 months to fully realise the effects - so not to go slap happy with it.... Half that amount would be a lentil I would say! I don't know what to think really - I mean I would normally turn to the scientific literature. How about consulting your specialist gynae who may well say - fine to just use a smaller blob size of Tostran but if it was more than half the size you would still be giving yourself an increased dose which is maybe what you need anyway? Aaagh - it's getting late so I'll stop rambling but please don't let me put you off - it's the same stuff after all!!!

The more confused I get and the more prescriptions get muddled the more Tibolone seems appealing by just taking one tablet a day then seeing to my nether regions as a separate job.

I don't know whether I'm coming or going with what I've ordered and what's waiting at the pharmacy these days

I get Testim prescribed now in 2 tubes as opposed the 1 before

The vagifem that I'm on double dose I get one box each time

Estradot I get 3 boxes a time

Sylk is one bottle a time

Then inhalers (always need one full spare one)

I gave up in the different morning/night antihistamines as I couldn't remember which one was for each am/PM so sticking to OTC ones now as and when needed

I'll go back to Testim tiny blob and investigate Tostran some more

Me too, on the MSG Annie! It was precisely 5 years ago that we went for a Chinese buffet and my throat closed up! Very, very scary swelling. I had a thorough work up at the Anaphylaxis Clinic after 'the big one' in 2012 and the lovely guy confirmed that I have to stay away from the stuff. So, sadly - never had Chinese again since. I just can't trust it!  (Are you sure we aren't related btw? Boy, we have a lot in common)!

It makes sense what Hurdity has just said after - if it's a kernel size I'm thinking you should be good. Every time I read about Testosterone experiences on here, I can't help remembering Patsy Kensit saying she had hers confiscated off her by her Consultant as he told her to use a pea sized blob but was actually using a brussel sprout!  Gotta love the lassie.......

Hi Annie

Tostran is all I have ever used and I started it about a week or 2 before you got your testim. I have always known it's stronger hence me only using the sweetcorn kernel blob.

Maybe this will work for you also as the testim has only given you a little boost...you may need more testosterone than you think as your ovaries have vanished. I have everything intact and my levels were low.

Personally I would keep using it and see how you feel after a month. I honestly love it and I'm not growing a beard or talking like a man, please don't worry about it.
