Feeling edgy

Hi All
I'm not yet on any HRT but does anyone feel edgy??
I'm going to see immunologist tomorrow to ask them when they said I should avoid oestrogen because of urticaria, why then when my blood test showed an extremely high oestradiol level did I not swell up/get urticaria.
I would like their input before meno specialist appointment on 29th December.
Re: edgy feeling any advice/solutions please.

Walking/hoovering/gardening can ease edginess. Your hormones are your own and 'natural' to you. Will you take a list of questions to your Appt., also, let us know how you get on.

Hi Autumn16 - glad you are going to ask them that! Also did you get a bleed at all a couple of weeks after that very high level? Sorry I can't help with the edgy feeling - I used to get that as classic pms just before a period or on the progesterone withdrawal phase of HRT. Good luck at your appointments anyway

It is blood in the urine or?!?
I had a friend who would clean the house from top to bottom every month
- once the bleed began she would crash into a heap.

Not sure CLKD but since I haven't had any bleed or spotting since May it's a bit odd.
I hope I don't crash😬 I'm finding this menopause path brings something new everyday.
I'm so used to doing so much this transition of feeling ok one minute and blah 😩The next is a pain in the ....
Still I know without this forum and all you fantastic ladies I would hiding in the cupboard under the stairs!!!
Thank you for keeping me sane.👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Hi Hurdity
You must be the hormone guru😀
I woke up in the morning with what seems like a period!!
I went to see immunologist and they looked at oestradiol levels and said I can be given oestrogen they also suggested tibolone as alternative.
Also they said they are going to write and complain to my GP surgery as they said they wrote to them in October suggesting the above yet the gp's said nothing to me!!!
The immunologist is writing direct to menopause specialist whom I am seeing on 29th December outlining their recommendations .👏👏😁😁😁

That isn't good enough in these days of communication! I wonder which route the communication went, our Hospital sends directly to the notes held at the GP surgery so it pops up as 'unread' when he opens up that particular patient's details.

Hi CLKD
I was really angry when they told me! They were quick to throw anti depressants at me in the initial stages even though I declined them.
I am just trying to focus on being positive but when you're up against ill informed GP's it's not easy.

Good health is required in order to put my points across when I go to the GP - recently 'he' altered my medication dose without ringing me, apparently one of the Staff had told him that I don't take the amounts I had re-ordered
. I was less than impressed. Years ago when I was really depressed something like that; at this time of year; could have pushed me off a cliff.
Have you any plans for exercise over the weekend?

Hi CLKD
I try and walk everyday. I was a great walker before and since this all started I have walked all around central London. I've done all the parks, museums, xmas lights anything to get me out of the house. I want to go back to work in the new year. I get bored if I stay at home all the time.

It's funny I had done all those things when the kids were young but when I was working I didn't have the time so I became a tourist and I have walked and walked and people watched. I have seen many women on my travels and have wondered how many were also walking off their menopause mayhem.😀😀

I think it's great to take a walk around the areas where we live. How many of us go on holidays and have a Very Good Look but tend to disregard our own buildings etc.? When I see foreign visitors I always suggest that they look upwards because a lot of British history is in the roofs/eaves of our old properties ;-). To me London is a name, the Capital but I have no visual idea of the layout at all! I know Durham far better …….
