It was coming in from Peru a few weeks ago  ::) - so the goodness and sugars will have gone.  The best way is to put the water on to simmer, cut asparagus, cook, salt, drain and serve  :-*

I don't know about a baking disaster - my baking is a disaster, so I never do it!   ::)

 :thankyou: BJ.  But just to show you what I mean, my Mum-in-law and S-in-law came to stay with us right at the start of our marriage.  I decided to bake scones and a cake for their arrival......except that the scones looked more like Yorkshire puddings and the cake wasn't much better!   ;D
