Hi Warwick, glad you're doing ok, I do feel more sweaty during the night so maybe I'm noticing a reduction in oestrogen dose from the patches

Phenergan went ok. Took it 9pm (1 tablet) and drowsiness hit me about midnight so will try @8pm tonight and go to bed @10.30..... it was such a lovely drowsy feeling

An added possible bonus is that it could help with any allergic reactions I sometimes have during the night.  Yesterday morning I woke up with the sniffles which are allergy related but this morning I didn't

I won't use it every night but maybe 3 times a week so I don't get used to it

I'm also going to use Tempests suggestion of trying half a tablet before going out to see if that works

Hope you're ok Tempest xxx

Hello ladies

I'm so glad everything went ok with the Phenergan Annie.

Things aren't good this end sadly. I ended up being assessed last night by out of hours psychiatric team, and a 2 hour assessment with IHTT psychiatrist this morning. I'm now on twice daily visits from the IHTT, and may need a hospital admission (it was a toss up between the IHTT or hospitalisation this morning).

We're not sure if the Tibolone has tipped me into crisis, or if it was on the cards anyway but things are tough right now. Psychiatrist is trying to liaise with my Menopause  Consultant to see if I should continue with the Tibolone and/or what other medications are ok to take with it.

I'll keep you posted if I can, but might not be around for a bit and I'll probably post over in private lives.

Take care,

xxxxx

Dear Tempest, I'm sorry you're still struggling! Let's hope it's just your body/mind trying to adjust to the new chemicals derived from Tibolone. Sending you many hugs and healing vibes!

Hi Suzanne, hope your son is doing ok

I'm not sure what to advise, as increasing could give you additional effects of all 3 hormones (which could help with sweats and libido) have a good google

The thought of adding a bit of an extra tablet has crossed my mind as I'm definitely more sweaty in bed during the night plus having trouble with VA externally, not sure Sylk is doing it anymore so may need to see doc about possible oestrogen externally as well as the vagifem internally x

Hi Suzanne,

At this point I would hang fire regarding increasing Tibolone. It may be you have had a little stress with your son in hospital. It may be it needs more time to settle, night sweats, flushes always try to come through >:(

If your coping with everything else, just wait a bit longer as increasing will make it more difficult to reduce in the future.

I am week 9 today and had NO dizziness for last few days..... then wow back last night which has unnerved me this morning >:(

Will keep going for 3 more weeks but not convinced I'm going to settle on Tibolone.

Hello and thank you all for your incredible kindness. I'm waiting for my IHTT visit this morning, they came out to see me at 7pm last night and will come again this evening.

I have already discussed the Tibolone with the Psychiatrist I saw (who is now liaising with my own Psychiatrist) and I told her that I'm finding the ups and downs and increasing lack of sleep since I've been on Tibolone very hard to manage as it seems to be adding to my problems arising from my CPTSD. I find that you never have the same day twice on the Tibolone, and that is rather too unnerving for me. I realise my situation is very different to most of the other Tibolone ladies here though.

I also notice that I'm very dry and itchy down below now, which is actually worse now than it has ever been but could be due to the drop in estrogen as the Tibolone is fairly weak in its actions.

Feeling dizzy and spaced out from about 10.30 to midday, which isn't too bad as at least I'm calm. The unnerving part for me is when the drug seems to peak around 2.30 - 3.00pm (I can set my watch by it) and then I feel most strange as if I'm going to have a panic attack. I get another incident of this right on cue about 8.30 pm. With sleep, I drop off ok about 12.30pm but am now awake at 4.00 am and feel absolutely horrible with doom and anxiety but this lifts after about 9.00 am (that morning cortisol thing) and then I take the tablet at 9.30 am and the whole process repeats again.

I'm finding this exhausting and pretty debilitating so I'm not sure what's going to happen but I have doubts that this will settle for me and the lack of sleep is 'triggering' a lot of my CPTSD flashbacks now which is pretty horrific. As I said before, I'll probably now post in private lives if and when I can but I just wanted to say thank you and let you know how things have been with the Tibolone for me (but as I say, my situation is rather unique). Hugs to you all. xxxxx

Good to hear from you. It sounds like you recognise what you need and what suits your body. I do hope your feeling better soon ;)

I will pop in PL to read with interest how your doing.

Lots of hugs my Tib buddy Wxxxx
