Absolutely.  I have lost both my parents in the last 18 months, and they  both served in the Army, during the war.

Made me particularly sad this year.

Oh Cazikins, thank you for posting this. My parents brought us up to take this day very seriously as we've all gone on to do with our kids. I never get through this day dry eyed and I'm not a weepy type.

We had a seller at our door a couple days ago CLKD.
They are selling them in small shops at the check out, outside the supermarkets, in charity shops.

I was at home this year at 11am & watched on TV. First time I've had tears tolling down my face.

I rarely go shopping where there are 'charity' boxes ……. all the people that sold door-2-door round here have died ……

I listened to Big Ben at 11.00 a.m.
