Having a lumpy boob panic, help
« on: October 22, 2016, 04:36:02 PM »

Argh I'm having a boob panic, my right boob has a very lumpy area that hurts bit if I press it.But I had a lot of needle biopsies end of 2014 probably around 35, then an op to remove the bit which turned out to be fine. So that boob is smaller now and it was lumpier but actually I gave up feeling it last year except a quick smudge of cream out of fear and anxiety.
I've been 8 months period free and my previously lumpy hurty boobs have settled really well so this bit seems highlighted now.
Damn I hate health anxiety as I've avoided it for over a year now until now.

Could it be scar tissue? I had a core biopsy five years ago and that area is still lumpy.

Hi there.
I have had biopsy's and mammograms three times for lumps in my Rt breast- all ok.
Outcome. I have very lumpy breast tissue in general but I still need to check regularly. Perhaps see Gp for reassurance to give you their opinion.
Hope it helps

Tinkerbell that is what I am trying to tell myself, I don't know if mine was a core biopsy, I have smile scar under my nipple and boob is sort of lifted up but the lumpy bit is above the nipple, obs I have no idea what they actually did to me.

Sarai looking back on your posts I remembered you had a spot of bleeding in May- probably indicating hormonal activity. Several of us have had this in the last year of peri. Maybe you are still having hormonal activity- just a thought to calm your mind hopefully. Seeing your GP would be a good plan too.

I went to see the nurse today, couldn't see a gp. Straight faced she said yes you have to go to the breast clinic, I cant be sure if its scar tissue, yeah me neither.
To her my boobs are not now the same as each other. They used to be seriously lumpy and painful, but that's all gone and left this one damn area, I so wish I had felt it after the surgery to learn my new normal.
I go next Tuesday morning, I'm grateful its quick but I'm going to be so bloody scared until then.

Megamind yes I did but she was not really taking it in. I know the drill, sadly at the end of 2014 I had many many maamograms and biopsies trying to catch something the size of a dot and then full surgery but the dot was fine.
So I guess that boob is likely to be filled with scars but but but

Probably due to your history she is being over cautious then.
