Day day 12:   And I STILL have more T left in my tube ! I am really dreadful at working out how much to use BUT I am worried to use too much as my hair is my constant concern 😢

I seem to be less tired, it'd be a bit untrue to say I have energy but I certainly feel less tired BUT I'm recovering from that nasty cold virus so that could be why I'm not so tired

I'm losing count on what day of T I'm on

I started oct 12

I'm away on holiday in Lanzarote and I asked my fiancé if he is noticing any improvements since starting T.   He said I'm more up for adventures than before (we hired electric bikes today), I've been swimming (can't remember the last time I did), he said I don't need babysitting lol, I offer to leave the table to get drinks etc (I'd have been rooted to my seat before), he said I'm more energetic, and on the sex front...... well I'm more responsive and managing orgasms easily again !

I'm feeling more attractive too

It's just my hair :-(.   Really not sure if it's worse, it's definitely no better :-(

Anyway, just thought I'd update, oh yes and still not using a whole pea size still

Abby I would've tried Tibolone myself but a potential side effect is hair loss, and since being post meno my hair has thinned dramatically so I couldn't/wouldn't risk it.  I'll be watching very carefully how T affects me

Lots of women say they had increased energy, libido and wellbeing in Tibolone

Your GP can prescribe testosterone , they just need to read up on it, they have the power to decide x

Have been reading up on your t journey. I've often wondered if I'm low on t (won't bore you with details). I've had a hair-loss problem with a testosterone derived progesterone though and that has put me off. Would testosterone cause me more hair loss do you know?

Hi Peacegirl

Really hard to say, there's so many reasons why we lose hair, low T can be one of them

If I didn't try T I'd never know if that was the reason.  Hair loss can be hereditary, deficiency, because of meds etc

I got to the stage where I thought "I can get a wig or whatever, but I can't go and buy a sex drive, energy or sense of well being"

I know it doesn't help you make a decision but I'm one for trying and searching for the balance

Hi Peacegirl

The testosterone derived progestogens can have androgenic effects partly because they bind to testosterone receptors. as well as progesterone receptors, so I've read. They are at very high concentrations in the BCP and fairly high in HRT too - as they need to be in order to do their job. I would suggest (just thinking aloud here) this is not the same situation as with taking a small amount of testosterone itself where your own levels have declined so it does not necessarily follow that you would experience hair loss if you took a small dose and were also taking bio-identical HRT (ie oestrogen as estradiol, and micronised progesterone).

Annie0710 - glad things are improving and lets hope they continue to do so when you are back from hols :)

Send a pm to administrator Emma who will move it for you. I expect there is probably only emergency cover at weekends though so may not happen until Monday?

Thankyou Hurdity

We flew back from Lanzarote yesterday and when we sat down and relaxed last night I said to my fiancé something that really shocked me yesterday...... now as you can imagine being at 2 airports and a 3.5 HR flight a lot happened.  He immediately said that maybe the same thing shocked him, the way I flew up some stairs and how I ran through the airport ! He was spot on !

I think it is Keepgoing

I just really wish this anxiety in certain situations would do one.  Considering how much we were meeting people I guess it is improving but I had a few moments yesterday when we were chatting to someone in a queue, my instinct was to walk away but I knew I couldn't, it soon passed though

Today I'm getting palpitations but I haven't put my gel on yet

Definite improvements in the bedroom, I'm starting to have sex on the brain !

I'm so pleased to hear that you're starting to feel the benefits of the testim gel, Annie!  :)

I remember after about 5 weeks of beginning the gel the 2 things I really noticed were: 1) running upstairs again instead of dragging myself up, and 2) going from not being in the least bit interested in sex to finding myself thinking about sex often.

Try and be patient about the anxiety... I think, from memory, that you've only been using the gel for a few weeks? If so, I was told that it takes a good 6 weeks to start feeling the real benefits of T. I'm sure things will continue to get better for you x

That's reassuring Ellie thankyou
Yes I started oct 12 so 3-4 weeks now? And only using half dose.  So am/was prepared that things might take a little longer for me, I guess I'm noticing a slight spring in my step which I'd forgotten I once had but I do remember thinking about sex and enjoying it a lot before meno , before Testim I actually felt repulsed at the thought of sex and felt very prudish when anyone mentioned it, now I'm finding I can find those jokes funny again
