Nightmares
« on: August 25, 2016, 07:25:42 AM »

Hi Ladies,
I've had a couple of nightmares and I've let them build up in my head and now they freak me out! I was never like this before menopause. Having has depression in the past and still on ad's I worry about psychosis. Silly I know, this is since I read a recent post about it, it's not something I've ever been diagnosed with but it does worry me. I know it's irrational but does anyone else get like this. I've just got my period too so that doesn't help either.
Thanks
Shellb

Hi Shellb

I have wild, surreal dreams and terrifying nightmares with my migraines too. I wake some mornings physically and mentally exhausted as if the dream was a reality during the night. The mood of the dream can actually affect my mood for the day too. Totally barmy!

I won't bore you with last nights storyline which woke me gasping at 5.20 this morning. There was no way I was going to go back to sleep following that though!

I started a thread ages ago, my brain picks up something from the daily news, mixes it with a person/s who I haven't thought of for years and then races away …….. not particularly bad dreams but very busy.  I had nightmares years ago when I was very depressed and my brain wouldn't settle.

I too feel worn out if my nights have been busy  >:(
