The problem with PPI's is that they cease the   production of stomach acid completely and we need some to keep our guts functioning properly. Short term use is OK but long term can cause problems, I took them for three years and ended up with polyps

If someone requires these for longer than 10 days then investigations should be done!  I find Rennies x 2 ease heartburn symptoms, fortunately.

mum has been off 'Omerprazole' for 5 days now.  She has just reported her 'movements' better than they have been for years, no accidents since.
