Trapped nerve
« on: April 06, 2016, 12:38:48 PM »

I know it's not meno related but does anyone have any bright ideas for a trapped nerve in my neck which is very painful if I move it wrong way I nearly jump through the ceiling ! Also got a terrible headache which I think is down to me holding my neck area tense. Im going to the States on friday so timing couldn't have been worse  :(
Im taking ibruprofen also some diazepam and deep heat ,cant sleep as hurts to lay on it .

I would google 'exercises for trapped nerve in neck' and it should bring up Youtube videos for you to watch and copy the exercises.

eg. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TffT8b3Ych4

I have Ulnar Nerve Entrapment and copied the exercises from Youtube and they did work.

I would think your headache is due to the neck nerve as I have arthritis in my neck and shoulders and can get a headache from it.

I would also recommend a memory foam pillow which is what I use as it helps your neck align properly as you are sleeping.

I would also recommend one of  those wheat bags that you heat up in the mircrowave for 3 mins then wrap around your neck.

Hope you get some relief so you can enjoy your holiday.

wheatbag and one of those long neck support thingies (forget what they are called now, have them on amazon).  No pain killer works when I get this, only wheatbags.. but I dont suffer as much as I used to now I have my neck thingy :)
