Many years ago I thought a fuchsia had died in the very deep snow but when I put a fork into the root to get it out there were signs of growth.  I put it back gently and that Summer was the very best it ever flowered  :-* - then we moved  :sigh:

Hurdity - it does say Hardy on the label. Have had frosts but not too many. I didn't protect it at all  :'(. Left it to its own devices.  :(

Give it time!  The Winter hasn't been nearly as cold as in previous years.  Don't do anything with it, let Nature do her work ;-). It's got 2 chances  :D

Some of our fuschias take ages to get going. The ones in pots though, even if they are hardy, are always taken into the greenhouse to overwinter. Something to do with the potted ones getting colder roots than those in the ground I think. I'm not the gardener.. I don't really listen but my mum was keen on fuschias and my husband inherited all of hers when she died.

 :D …….. dig it up very carefully to see if there's growth from under the earth.  That is what happened to mine, I was going to hike it out into the bin but could see when the fork went in that new growth was appearing from the roots  ;)

The fushia I bought last year died right down in the winter and now it's growing new shoots and I did nothing to it at all.
