Aconite for palpitations
« on: March 25, 2016, 04:58:48 PM »

There are so many ladies on here with this problem me being one of them.  I use Homeopathice Aconite and I can honestly say I don't know where I would be without it.  I have dropped it into a couple of threads before.  I have used a homeopath for many years so he is always my first port of call.  I am able to get different strengths to what's on the market but it really works for me. I'm not sure how the 30c which is available to buy will work as it's more a physical remedy and even though you would think the palpitations are, mine have responded better to an emotional strength remedy.  Please ladies try it I know a lot of you suffer and mine was terrible.  Aconite is usually given for shock bit if you think about it that's what your body is going through. Take care

Do you think Aconite would help a-fib? I have single palpitations, but have also had several episodes of a-fib. Thanks for any info . Ann

Hi  Anne54
I'm not sure what that is? And yes you should check with your consultant im sure they will say no to taking it they are a sceptical lot when it comes to taking homeopathy.  Although distilgesic is something they use! With any serious health complaint my advice would be to ask your own consultant first then talk to him about options for trying something else?  My homeopath himself has developed an overactive thyroid but does not take conventional medicine but he sees a german homeopathic specialist in London every 6 months. My belief systems are different to the norm where medicines are concerned so I will always give a slightly biased opinion.  Hope that helps. My friend is german and she says in some parts of Germany even doctor's first  line of medicine is homeopathic.

Hi Kate

Really interested in your thread and Homeopathy in general.  I have seen a Homeopath in the past and thinking about having another consultation for migraines/meno/depression - to take alongside my low dose HRT.

Initially I bought Aconite (Helios brand, tiny pills) for early morning panic - and grief - and to take when on Utrogestan (as I'm progesterone intolerant and it makes me feel vile) - the Aconite seems to help - especially to get me going on the mornings.

What is an emotional strength remedy?  Also is it 6 or 30 - liquid or tablet.

Do you know your constitutional type - I'm Pulsatilla (ie. wimpy, ha ha).

Recently heard about bowel nosodes which I would like to try.

Hi night owl
The constitutional type for me doesn't always help I think it can but sometimes it hinders. Depends on the homeopath if they just stick to that then they can sometimes miss out on things.
What made you choose Aconite?
There are lots of one's for hormones Pulsatilla being one.  I take mostly tablets and sometimes add those to water.  M and LM are the emotional remedies I take.

I chose Aconite for panic/anxiety and also for bereavement/shock.  It seems to help when I feel the awful dread in the mornings.

Of course the homeopathic choice is bewildering and specialist advice is needed - the Homeopath I saw a while back has since passed away (at a surprisingly young age) - I may look for another.

When researching, the problem I find is that I'm a combination of so many aspects 'types' - referring to this link below, I would need all remedies listed !

Is Aconite your 'go-to' favourite remedy?

This is why constitutional diagnosing is restricting. I take the aconite purely for the palpitations.  I dont like to take it long term it can make me sluggish. Have you ever taken Ignatia for bereavement?
I have used several remedies over the past few years to help.  Not many constitutional though.  More to do with physical symptoms a few emotional and more hormone specific ones. As a family we have used Homepathy for 17 years it has helped greatly over the years especially with the children.  I am still suprised at how quick it can sometimes work.

I tried Ignatia when I was first bereaved (Mum) - whether it was the brand or not, I don't know, but it didn't seem to do much.  The Aconite seems more effective.  Thinking about trying Pulsatilla or Sepia (or Ignatia, different brand) - apparently there is homeopathic software called CaraPro which I'm going to look into - although I know I should find a reputable Homeopath - but in the meantime, I enjoy researching.

Good to hear that you and your family have found Homeopathy helpful.

Hi
Ignatia would be best taken in an emotional strength LM or M for it to work on that level plus it's best not to take too early as grief needs to happen but it's good for if you get stuck.  Sepia is a strong women's remedy so research is required.  Nelson s  pharmacy compound different strengths they are based in Ireland and I have bought from them bf
