The Mirena made my PMS much worse. Basically I felt like I had PMS all month long. I suffered it for about 9 months then had it swapped for a traditional copper coil. PMS symptoms disappeared within 3 days.

I had to battle to have it taken out though, and the GP at the clinic was quite cross with me.

They do like to push the Mirena don't they? Every time I go because my HRT needs tweaking (trying diff things to get the regime right), I am offered antidepressants and the Mirena first off!
