Before my peri symptoms started my weight was fairly stable at around 11.5 stone. Then the hormonal anxiety and mood swings caused me to lose weight as I often had diarrhoea. I tried Amitriptyline which made me gain over a stone and my weight went up to 12 stone.
When I stopped it after 7 months the weight dropped off. But the anxiety and mood swings also helped with the weight loss. I got down to 10.7 stone and looked good but felt dreadful.
Since starting HRT my weight has increased again to 11 stone 10lbs but has stabilised there for the last 3 months.
