I had this problem with the Estring in the summer - you could get a message to your GP that the other tube is unobtainable and can you have something else instead to tide you over please?

Theresa - maybe ring round the various local Chemists and then get it from them?

I have alerted my Pharmacist friend who is going to have a look-see if this is temporary or out of production.  Funny that it should go 'short' supply at the same time as NICE Guidelines are released  :-\

I have sent e-mails to Lloyds Pharmacy as well as Boots UK - gosh that was a trek and a bit, trying to negotiate my query past the FAQ none of which was appropriate  ::)

Lloyds reassures me that the product has not been withdrawn in the UK ……….. interesting to note that the Pharmacy hasn't bothered to let me know that it's back in stock! there really doesn't seem any joined up thinking  :beat:

The answer I had from Boots was to speak with a Pharmacist  :-\  ??? - aren't Boots a Pharmaceutical Company?  :beat:

Wonder why?  I asked my Pharmacist friend but he hasn't found any problems with distribution …….

I got a tube yesterday at my local chemist, no mention of short supply.

Yes that is what I'm using.I got one small tube and was told at the chemist to pick the other tube up in a few days when they had it in.when I went to get it they said they had no idea when they'd be getting more. I've only been using it about three weeks.was hard enough getting to see my go as it was as she only works part time.
Ive just had a check online Ovestin was in short supply here last year
Chemist hoarded it for old users and doled it out but tube had to last no margin for overuse
I looked on UK and there ws no mention of a shortage?

I had a problem with Ovestin being out of stock several times when I used it, gave me a lot of stress. I have used Vagifem for the last year and have not had a problem with it being out of stock.
