Fast heart rate

 Hi ladies does anyone suffer with fast heart rate get quite hot and my heart really thumps fast. Have been checked for missed beats and just waiting for 24 ecg  moniter have been like this for last 6 years. Had my last period 2 years ago and still get really bad hot flushes any comments welcome thank you x

GP gave me Beta blocas they work a treat and u self with draw slowly and they work

 Yep, same here.  Have beta blockers which work.  Try not to panic when it's happening, it WILL STOP, breathe slowly and deeply.  :hug: :foryou:

Yep and mine misses beats as well I call it the skippies
Do go see GP and ask him if you can see if Beta blocas can help

Hey chill I was talking to Bobbles tonight (hubbie)
He reminded me Id had them when I was in my 20s Id forgotten
Same Pills Inderal so theve been around for years
Im glad your going they really do work
Sports people use them legally for nerves
Its been over 30 yrs since I took the 1st pill so theyve been used for nerves for at least that long

I have Propranolol, also a BB that has been around forever.  I remember my father having them for his angina and he's been gone 26 years so definitely been around a long time.  I love mine as my AD only deals with my depression (that I didn't realise I had).  In partnership with a low dose BB I am feeling quite a bit better most of the time.  Still get silly moments but its early days yet.

Sparklers I resisted medication for so long, determined that I could 'fix it'.  I wish I had asked for help sooner, there is no shame in getting help in whatever form it comes xx

My GP told me many Lawyers used Inderal back in the 80's when going to court, prob still do to calm the nerves.... :-\

The GP must listen and if not then you see another GP.  Mental health is as important as physical health.  Hugs to you my twinnie  :bighug:

I have noticed recently that when I'm already jittery my heart really speeds up whenever I eat a meal. Anyone else get this? Doesn't seem to happen when my mood is calmer though.
