Question about Elleste duet 1mg
« on: November 16, 2015, 07:11:57 PM »

Hi Ladies
I came off Gedarel COP in November last year. Had a few light periods - last one in August. Started taking Elleste last Saturday 5th. I was sick Thursday night so one tablet out of my system ! But yesterday started experiencing PMS - body and headache and bit of stomach cramp.  This evening stomach cramps - mild - like I will soon be on. Is this normal?  I know you have bleeds on this  but thought it would be a bit later into the packet.  Not thrilled at the thought of bleeding again anyway - thought that was one of the few good things about menopause !!!

Hi and welcome to MM Jube
Do read up all the info on this site to get clued up.
When first starting HRt it takes time to settle - at least 3-6 months - so you need to persevere.  You are probably still in the peri stage of menopause so your own hormones will be fluctuating in the background and this will bring varying symptoms. Your bleed, when it comes, may well be quite light and should happen after you finish the whole of the first month of tablets within the first 2-3 days of starting the next set of tablets.
