Hi sue23
There is absolutely no reason to take progesterone if you don't have a womb and especially not the synthetic progtestogens like norethisterone - which might actually cause negative side effects which impact your well-being. Utrogestan in the dose available is solely for protection of the womb against stimulation by oestrogen and does usually cause side effects - especially tiredness at best) or low mood/foggy head ( at worst). Both of these are on;ly available on prescription
You can buy weak progesterone cream privately from the web and you can google this (not allowed to mention products) but its use in menopause is controversial and not proven, although the manufactuers will have you believe it is the answer to everything. It was originally developd for peri-menopause because many women have little progesterone at this time due to cycles where they don't ovulate, but its not strong enough to protect the womb and prevent the heavy bleeding which occurs.
What sort of aches and pains do you have and where are you in menopause? Do you have your ovaries? Have you had blood tests or a doc visit to look at other causes of aches and pains - eg thyroid, vitamins, iron etc - as deficiencies in there can cause aches and pains too. Are you taking any form of HRT?
