And a little brush is less gross than a bit of floss that is disposed of rather than sitting festering.   ;D

I couldn't get the smallest teepee brush between my teeth as they have migrated and crowded and are too tightly packed.

I have receeding gums too and my worst displaced teeth have become very sensitive to the point it is sometimes difficult to eat on that side however the time has not yet come for any extractions  :'(

The mouthwashes and toothpastes for sensitive teeth are very good. Try rubbing a little toothpaste on before bed.

I found Sensodyne rubbed into the gum level eased painful nips.

I use sensodyne toothpase and their new toothbrushes which get round my tight wonky teeth nicely, and waxed floss - I can't get anything else between my teeth as they are very tight.

I also used hot water with a bit of salt dissolved in it as a mouthwash if my gums get sore - I get food lodged in certain places and if my gums get sore, they swell up and keep it there.  I used to have this problem with my wisdom teeth.  Once the swelling goes down, I can clean them properly.

The problem with the floss is cleaning the mirror afterwards  :-\

(Also, I have become very adept at dealing with the floss over the years - it takes a lot of practice to get to the point where it cleans efficiently but does not cheese-wire the gums)
