I am so bad with this that right now as I am reading this I am gagging...often wake up gagging having dreamt that I was at the dentist having that nasty mirror shoved down on my tongue, so nasty!
Having said that I love my floss, need to floss daily, feel it is imperative for good dental hygiene, CLKD why would you say its disgusting?

Could you be tensing your tongue? I used to have horrible problems with having my teeth x-rayed and then, finally, one dentist adviced me to relax my tongue. That did a world of difference! I no longer gag :) !

Because it is.  So are brushes, when I think how long I keep mine between each change and where they are stored  ::)

Ours are kept in a bathroom cabinet. Changed every month and sterilised in boiling water with salt weekly.

We also use floss, much cleaner than a brush.

I get this and I find sitting down to clean my teeth helps as we usually lean over the sink. In my case leaning over makes the gag worse.

We have recently started using floss.  My gums have stopped bleeding but I have a very small mouth and find flossing tricky especially the back teeth which I don't always manage.  I haven't got room for the floss and my hand in my mouth  ???

How is it disgusting?
It's used to get your teeth properly clean, the dirty floss is disposed of afterwards, you don't frame it  ;D

it really does, especially with the bottom teeth, but I don't like inflamed and bleeding gums so a bit of dribble can't hurt.  One day we could all be dribbling anyway  ::)
