Hi daisie - yes, you would almost definitely benefit from some oestrogen post operation. Hopefully they will prescribe either a patch or the gel to help with any menopausal symptoms. I'd discuss this with your doctor.
Hopefully others will be along who have had a hyster and can offer you advice. Dg x

Hi Daisie
I had the same operation as you back in May. I had to go on HRT as am I am only 43. If you haven't gone through the menopause you are advised to go on HRT to protect your bones.
My consultant advised me to wait 4 weeks after my op to start it so things had time to settle down. I only had a few warm moments before I started HRT.
I am on sandrena gel at the moment. Not having a great time on HRT so trying different things to help.
My advice would be if you are not getting any symptoms don't rush into HRT.

Sorry you are feeling a little low this week Daisie but it's still very soon after your op. I hope you are resting as much as possible and being waited on!
As for HRT - I'm not sure whether it is recommended after a diagnosis of endometrial cancer as this type of cancer is often oestrogen-driven. It will depend on your gynae's advice I think. Your GP may wish to wait until he/she hears from the gynae. Let us know what the doc says.
