Hello
« on: October 24, 2015, 06:25:25 PM »

Hello just wanted to introduce myself. I'm
48 and just been diagnosed as menopausal having suffered for about 18 months. I've been prescribed HRT but not started taking it yet. I so hope it stops th brain fog and feeling as if I've been hit by a train most of the time.

Nice to find a forum with people who understand xx

Thank you. I'm on Elleste Duet 1mg. Funnily enough my hot flashes have got worse since starting it but I'm hoping it will settle down. If anything they are worse than before. Won't panic just yet though!!! Xx

How long have you been taking it? It might be that your flushes are getting worse anyway! Try to give it 2 or 3 months to settle down and hopefully you will see a benefit soon  :). Sometimes some women find that flushes return or worsen during the second part of the pack ie on the norethisterone/oestrogen combi tablets taken in the last 12 days - at least that's what has been reported on here!

Hi Hurdity

Thankfully the hot flushes seem to be getting better and the nausea is settling down a bit.  Only symptom I have now is I am rather "windy" and bloated!!   ;)   I'm not much fun to be working with at the moment and thankfully my work colleague in the office is very understanding!!  Seriously I hadn't realised how bad I had felt until now I'm starting to feel better.
