How frequently do you wee?
«

Just wondering because I go so often. Even my 91 year old mother goes less frequently than me. I am just about to go for my 4th wee in the last hour and a half.
I don't have accidents or anything but I seem to spend so much time on the loo.
I go out with friends for a day and they might go once, I go maybe five times.

It all depends on what I have been drinking. The more tea I drink the more I go (I don't drink coffee ).
If it's got caffeine in it then it makes you go more as caffeine is a diuretic.
If I'm just drinking juice or water or caffeine free teas then I don't go neatly as much.
What are you drinking.

changes can be scary, even when we want them

Body fluids is gained from food as well as liquids. Do not reduce what you drink as the kidneys then need to work harder. It depends on how relaxed I am as to how often I pass urine. At night it can be several times but rarely do I go through without waking.
It also depends on whether we are travelling as to how often I need to find a loo

Maybe 4-5 times a day and not during the night.

I find it's habitual. If I am out for the day, I go much less, usually once because of the hassle of finding a toilet. If I'm at home, I go more because the toilet is there! I don't usually go in the night unless I've had a lot of drink just before going to bed. I did read somewhere (can't remember where) about bladder training and how you can mentally program yourself to go less. I now try to only go when my bladder is full. Apparently the Royal Family are big on bladder training due to all their public engagements.

I'm like a dog and a lampost and rarely pass a toilet
I do drink quite alot of water but I like to keep hydrated. Its much better for your kidneys if you drink plenty even though it means lots of toilet trips - your urine should be pale straw coloured.
No matter how little I drink in an evening I always need to go to the loo twice a night but I have always been like this.
I also find that I have odd days where I drink loads and don't go that much then get other days where I seem to produce gallons but my husband says same so it must be normal fluctuations.

Depends on what I've had to drink. Coffee makes me go a lot, so drink very little of it. Tea I don't drink.
Possibly half a dozen times during the day & once or twice at night.

I go more in the morning and less in the afternoon. I'm rarely up in the night but it depends how much water I drink in the evening. I get thirsty then and keep drinking lots of water.

I recently had a urine infection and its taken me a few weeks to feel I don't need to wee every hour or two. I feel better now but still think I wee about 6 to 8 times a day and a couple of times during the night. I drink a lot of water though (probably over 2 litres per day) plus tea and coffee during the day. I get less headaches if I keep hydrated and I think it does improve my skin.
When I use utrogestan vaginally I feel it irritates my bladder and causes me to see even more.

my fave topic, or it used to be.
I think quite normal in the day time 'now' but I stopped all caffine and drink herbal tea or water and plenty of it. ONLY once a night now, used to be up to 5 times, and I am often only there 6 hours.
I still have issue's with travelling though, but I am pretty certain that is in my head and the anxiety of there not being a loo available. Luckily I dont travel so much.

sparkle - you may not be drinking enough!
I drink 5-6 mugs of tea per day and 2 mugs of coffee, as well as a (small) glass of juice and usually a couple of glasses of water.
I wee quite a lot - but only once ( or not at all) now at night if I don't drink in the evening (apart from a glass of water). That's because I am sleeping more deeply now and always wake tired so sleep through the bladder feelings!
Yes I probably wee at least 4 times in the morning - it takes quite a while to get rid of all that tea, and then the coffee!!
Countrybumpkin - re the dog and the lampost - do you mean you rarely pass a loo when out without having to go just in case there isn't another one nearby? I'm with you on that one even though it's not good for the bladder! I never pass up on the opportunity to empty - although I try to hold it in more at home!
How funny re the Royal Family - must be the same for rock stars, actors and politicians!

I also wee a lot in the mornings not so much in the afternoon. Always need a wee at night sometimes two, I dont know if I really need to wee at night but if I have a flush I get the feeling I need to pee.

I think I get up occasionally in the night but to be perfectly honest I don't remember. I do it half asleep and don't put on the light....unlike hubby who manages to clatter around and waken me up
Why can't men do things quietly.

Today I went at 6.10 a.m., again at 6.25 and then at 11.30. Again mid afternoon and when we got home.

just returning to this topic .... Sorry I forgot I'd posted it!!!
It's very interesting reading how different we all are.
I was looking up about it and find that if you are dehydrated you actually wee more so I am drinking a glass of water every few hours and I am not weeing any more than usual so maybe there's something in that.
