How many pairs is sensible 

2 pairs of wellies - [1 in the camper, 1 in the utility room]
2 pairs of walking boots - [1 in the camper, 1 in the car]

1 pair of lilac shoes - for best
1 pair of white bar shoes - for going into town on dry days
1 pair of black bar shoes - for going into town in the wet
2 spare pairs 'in case'
2 pairs of worn through shoes for gardening

I couldn't possibly, my OH might read it. 
I buy slippers in advance, got a couple of new pairs in the wardrobe.

I couldn't possibly say!  Really need to ditch some pairs as no longer comfortable.

I found a pair of slip-on sandals a few moments ago and 3 pairs of gardening slippers

I had a deprived childhood shoe wise, as I have long narrow AA fitting feet. It was impossible to buy shoes that fitted well. I had to wear horrid brown lace ups and dreamed of red shoes. Now shoes are more easily sourced on line, but at a price. I have told my DH that he is only a proper husband if he keeps me in shoes!  And yes I am the proud owner of several pairs of shoes.

I have two pairs of wellies. Four pairs of trainers. One pair of ankle boots. One pair of shoes somewhere but no idea where. Two pairs of flip flop type sandal thingies. I really despair of me!!

Oh yes, I definitely have favourites, but sadly have spent the last few months wearing trainers following a foot injury. That said my absolute favourites are a pair of fur lined Crocs which are super comfy.
