I've been reading about this kind of thing.......... wondering if my "butter shower cream" has left a residue and affected my oestrogen absorption?  Washed with a bar soap this morning and feeling absolutely fine today (although I upped my gel to 2 pumps yesterday as well).

There is certainly evidence that use of moisturisers and sunscreen after application of oestrogel can affect its absorption - but I'm not sure if there have been studies looking into the effect of products on the skin before gel application. I would be surprised if it didn't though - and GypsyRoseLee has personal experience of this!

This is why I prefer a patch  - not that I've used oestrogen gel, but I'm now applying testosterone gel daily but at least only to a small part of my inner thigh, and I only use ordinary shower gel ( and not every day!!!!)  :)
