dizzy on oestradot?
« on: September 01, 2015, 07:00:36 AM »

Hi everyone,
I have commenced oestradot patches twice weekly. Within 48hrs of commencing these patches my anxiety seemed to ease considerably. The only problem is, i feel a little bit dizzy all the time now. Not to the point of falling down, but enough to make me aware of it. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, does the dizziness wear off once you get used to the oestradot? It's a small price to pay for losing that awful anxiety though. My BP is fine.

Is it like a slightly off balance feeling as if when you get up, say, you feel as if you have to steady yourself? If so I had this when I started Evorel 50 patches although I'm not sure why because I didn't get it the first time I used them a few years ago. It wore off after the second week with me but it was very disconcerting.

Hi lyn
I think one should expect some for sort of reaction to the sudden boost of oestrogen.  Your body has to adjust. When I went back on HRT last autumn I got all sorts of aches, tinglings, sore breasts etc. and my gynae describes it as the body reawakening.  I'm sure it will settle down. DG x

I think you need a week to adjust, plus a further 3 months for everything to settle into place.

I have just gone onto femoston 2/10 from 1/10 and felt a bit weird over the first couple of days.  Yesterday I was tired and headachey (busy weekend) and tingly.  Today I feel much better (day 6).

My head feels a lot clearer.  It might be because I have a lot happening at the moment.  Only time will tell.

Thanks everyone for your reassurance! Yes, it is like a slightly off balance feeling. At least it doesn't make me even more anxious, a real blessing!
