Returning to work
« on: August 20, 2015, 07:19:28 AM »

Hi ladies
I work in education an having summer off I returned yesterday.
Before I broke up for summer I was exhausted and found the job stressful, this exasperated my anxiety. My anxiety is starting all over again and I can't see a way out. I've been doing the same job for 8 years now and each year things change and get harder. I think I'm ready for a change but it scares me to death as I don't know what I would do or if I could cope with the change. Has anyone else felt like this or does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you
Shellb

Shellb, I can get like that after a break, the first time I go back.  I was also exhausted at the end of the summer term.  I don't know about HRT things, as I don't take them, but I carry Bach Flower Rescue Remedy and some lavender oil round with me during the day, and take Bach Flower Rescue Remedy-Night when I go to bed, or if I wake up in the middle of the night.  The first one helps to keep me calm during the day, if I need to, and the second one helps me get to sleep in the first place and stops my mind from racing if I wake up in the middle of the night, so that I get a good/better sleep.  That in itself helps me to get through the day.
I hope this is of some help.  Good luck.

Hello Shelby

I have worked all my life as a nurse, in school nursing and many other jobs. If you have filled my posts you will see that I have just taken early retirement at almost 53........why? well I needed to. who for ? for me honey and although I have a mortgage and home to manage ( I am  single mum ) It is the best think I have ever done.

My point, do what helps you and only that. I plan to work three days and complete a reflexology course. I care not what the work is as my happiness is the most important.

Reassess, plan, action and deliver to better times if you want them, we call it solution focused, draw a line under the past. Make a plan for the future be it a week, month or longer and plan the steps to make it happen.

Education is a hard place to be .

Hugs Mrs January xxx
