Evorel 50 patches
« on: August 05, 2015, 07:41:12 AM »

Well  I have started my patches, on my third patch and today feel dreadful, hoping this will improve, today breasts hurt, have a headache, muzzy head as well like I have been taking night time cold pills and stomach cramps, and sore eyes, plus a floater in my right eye, feel very tired as didn't sleep last night, and my legs really ache!!!!!
When I took the mini pill my eyes got very dry and the optician said I had no water in them so had to put drops in, does HRT dry up your eyes, has anyone else had this. Thinking I might have to make another appointment at the opticians but its so expensive!!!
I am hoping I will feel better soon and I haven't even started the Evorel conti patches yet!!!!
Definitely need to get my act together today as I need to take my mother to her hospital appointment this afternoon and the I think my dog has an ear infection, I feel a trip to the vets coming on!!! Oh well think I will try some pain killers and see if I can get moving!!! LOL

Hi robots are

I can't comment on why your feeling unwell on Evorel patches my initial experience when I first went on them was I felt very good.  However I too had the dry eye thing, it was a sort of stabbing pain that came and went and was quite frightening so I got myself referred to a specialist at the hospital who checked me out and guess what - it was a drying out of tissues and is a common symptom of menopause! Hope this helps x

I had issues with them for the first few months - looking back, it wasn't the patches that were causing a problem as much as the continued lack of oestrogen. I reckon it was a good few months before I felt their benefit. Even dry eyes can be a symptom of menopause (low oestrogen = lack of fluids): (scroll down list) http://menopausehealthmatters.com/symptoms-of-menopause. That said, I know the reverse is true for some people too.
