Hi, I don't know but I have seen posts that advise HRT takes about 3 months to fully have effect.

There are a lot of ladies with HRT knowledge and I am sure someone will soon come along to help but just wanted to say Hi, as you sound down

1mg isn't much and 2 weeks not long enough.  It could be the weather, your own Hormone upheaval, a change of routine …… as your GP done blood tests for anaemia and thyroid function?  Do you sleep through the night?

Oh I remember that worry really well.  Most ladies do come through but for many it's Trial and Error  >:(!

There is always a reason as to why we feel 'off' and depression comes with the territory - anxiety too is a problem due to fluctuating hormones, lack of appetite, worry about what is actually happening!  Have a browse, menus top of screen: ask away!

I nearly gave up after three weeks as I was under the impression that was how long it would take until everything was perfect. How wrong I was! I would say that it didn't really have an impact until three months had passed, and even after six months, I am still noticing further improvement. Be prepared for a few blips along the way, but so far, you have really not given it time . Hang on in there is you can - HRT is not for everyone, but if you are going to try it at all, then give it a fair chance  x

I started my hrt journey with estelle duet 1mg and it took a good three months before I felt back to "normal" then I was fine for 4/5years. So try and hang on with it,two weeks isn't very long for your body to adjust to the hrt, I do know it's not easy but persevere .

Oh do give it at least 3 months - it's taken my body that long to get used to it.  HRT really isn't a quick fix - it takes time.  A couple of weeks is nothing ... it took me a while to get to the point of accepting that.  You will have good days and bad days - keep a journal so you can keep track of moods and side effects - it's helpful for when you discuss things with the Dr so that if the HRT you have isn't working for you, you can figure out what HRT might.  Menopause is, unfortunately, a very challenging time for some women  :'(

Hormones in general can cause both.  Usually cyclic.  Keeping a mood/food diary will show if you have a pattern to any mood changes.

Think most leaflets say the same side effects, pharmaceutical companies covering their butts ! It isn't a miracle cure, more's the pity, and it takes time.

You will probably experience a range of side effects for at least 3 months - I did/do.  However they come and then, if you're fortunate, they go. So its important to give your body time to adjust to the hormones.  It's not an easy journey (wish that it was).  So do keep a journal - I'm on my third now and I keep charts of symptoms to give to the Dr at each visit - it has helped to keep track of things and notice changes.
