Still fed up and down
« on: July 14, 2015, 12:40:06 PM »

Still really fed up and feeling down, I've increased my oestrogel to 3 pumps rather than 2 (studd doesn't know this) just wish I'd never had these bloody implants  :-\
Moods low and even on the odd occasion it does lift its only for a short while  :( aching all over and feel more like 80 than 40! Can't seem to fall asleep at night then can't get up in the morning! I've never been like this, I'm always the first up making sure everyone else gets up! My heads just spinning, feels dizzy and fuzzy and just hurts and I've got our holiday looming  :-\
Hubby is seeing prof studd tomorrow (he's diagnosed him as low testosterone) and I am hoping to mention how I feel but I suspect he won't have time to discuss it with me  ::)

Sorry about the moan, just wanted a rant and an offload  :-\

Do you pay to see Prof Studd?  Does he prescribe ………. call me cynical but.

Implants can be difficult to manage.  I remember girls having real problems on The Pill which was injected as an implant ….. recommended for vulnerable women.  Add to that your own hormones still being present, it's no wonder it can be difficult judge the correct amount that is required.

You probably have to 'ride it out' and probably not have any more?

I'm glad now I decided against the implants when my private gynecologist suggested them ,I didn't want to take the chance of it not agreeing with me and not being able to stop straight away although he did say he could "fish" it out in a jiffy ! Could you not get them taken out too if they causing so much trouble ?

Not really sure? The receptionist said it would have to be done under a general  ??? But studd keeps saying there's no need for removal  ::) >:( I did read about a Dr near me who specialises in removing them but never took it any further.
The estrogen one quite clearly didn't work as my levels dropped over half but I was told on here that it all depends on when the blood tests were taken in the month, which I suppose could mean that now I'm supplementing it I could be having too much? My testosterone was the same as when I was on the gel.
I might ask if he can do another blood test tomorrow to see what my levels are now?
As usual I'm still confused about it all and if it's actually working  :-\

Blood tests don't prove much, it really does depend on when in the cycle the blood is taken.   My Gynae refuses to do them.  He goes on symptoms.

Certainly if I were you I wouldn't have any more implants.  Go on your symptoms.  How did DH get on?

So we saw prof studd today, originally for hubby but he asked how I'd been getting on so I told him not good! He genuinely seemed concerned and was really surprised that things wernt improving for me. After a lengthy chat (which he didn't charge us for)! He's given me testim gel to use and told me to carry on with the 3 pumps of oestrogel, also took bloods as he's keen to know what's going on/what's not working. He asked about my periods and if I was using the utrogestan to which I replied no as I'm having bleeds each month without it, even the nurse said to me after that the fact I'm still having a bleed without the utrogestan shows that my estrogen isn't high enough.
Hubby has had a testosterone injection (in his bum)  ;D and he also gave him Viagra  :o if nothing else we should be at it like rabbits!  ;D
Hubby was a bit embarrassed at first about seeing him you know what men are like  ::) but apparently he sees quite a few men, his patient before us was a 60 year old man who's life has been turned around by testosterone, mind you his level of 4 was much lower than hubby's at 11.
Fingers crossed things will improve now? Time will tell I suppose.

Why on earth has he given you testim when your test.level was previously high, unless your oestrogen level is balanced keeping giving you more testosterone will not make you feel better.  I would put money on worse.  I would seriously see.nick panay for another opinion.

Also implants cannot just be fished out whoever told you that is talking rubbish.
