The cotton is too soft therefore migrates to places where pants shouldn't go  …….. the large ones which have been SO comfy are now getting beyond their best ……….

Ah, the great comfy pants hunt.

I don't know what I will do when my present crop  of M&S cotton bikinis bite the dust.  M&S seem insistent on adding LYCRA to all their pants apart from the huge granny ones. 

It's a bummer

Asda pants are quite good and they don't have any Lycra in them.

I'm told they are comfortable .....bet they are not.

Given the fact my hubby never notices anything I'm quite happy in briefs for now.

My mother and sister buy Sloggi pants and say they are great. They are quite big though.

Take 'em off and do without! No knicker-line; no elastic; no wedgies; fabulous! Just don't do it on a windy day if you're wearing a skirt and planning on using an escalator or going upstairs on a bus! Being on the front page of the local paper as the neighbourhood flasher is not what you want!

If my hubby even suggested that to me I would hit him with something 
 You should come and live in Scotland Freda....lots of men in kilts.

If by 'huge granny pants' you mean the ones that come up to your middle, I've been wearing them (or the BHS equivalent) since I was in my teens.  Comfort wins over style every time.

when you have a belly overhang you need either bikini briefs to tuck under or full briefs to tuck the belly in.  I like hipsters but they come half way up my belly and then roll down when I bend.

Babyjane I sympathise. Hubby would like me in bikini ones, but so darned uncomfortable these days. As for thongs or G strings well it has to be worst wedgie feeling ever! I wore once to nieces wedding under bum skimming trousers. Not comfy, but I did get a bum slap from one of her hubby's rugby mates.  Think he was a bit well oiled at the time & I laughed it off. Had my hubby & brother in stitches, I've not jumped that high in years!

G-strings are not hygienic nor good for the body  - too drying.

All I can say is - NOoooo! NEVER!!!!!!!! Wouldn't dream of wearing anything remotely suggesting big or comfy pants - that is  something for old age in my book and I'm not there yet!!!! It's bikinis, high legs, minis or mini shorts for me

I wish I could wear high legs at least. Used to until my tummy went south. Not a good look I can tell you!
